Museums are a way of showcasing a countries art, culture and history to visitors to a country. Yet Wales could possibly see it's national museum in it's capital shut down because of the government cutting it's grant.

I've always believed that museums in Wales should charge an entry fee. Whether that's St Fagan's, Big Pit or any of the museums in Wales that are currently free. WG have to make difficult funding decisions based on the money that comes from Whitehall (or lack of). So cuts are inevitable and difficult decisions have been made. It's a sign of the times. Those who can also afford to pay for their prescriptions should also pay too.

I suspect entry fees is where'll they'll end up going tbh but the problem is the museum has to be there or open for it to charge.

I’ve never been disappointed with our museums and personally I’d be happy to pay as they need to survive. I still think it should remain free to schools.

Sorry Jerry I have been away today, so I haven't managed to find out any details of his speech as yet.
I've listened to the plenary question and the airport wasn't mentioned. It was about the 20mph and busses.
