I've just checked flight only prices for New York between October 25th to October 29th for me parents as they want to go over for their wedding anniversary this year. I was amazed with the prices some of the airlines are charging.
Below example bookings were for 1x passenger with 1x checked-in bag in economy seats.
United Airlines = MAN-EWR-MAN = £1,176
Delta Airlines = MAN-JFK-MAN = £1,125.38p
American Airlines = MAN-JFK-MAN = £1,126
Thomas Cook Airlines = MAN-JFK-MAN = £662.98p
British Airways = LBA-LHR-JFK-LHR-LBA = £610
KLM = LBA-AMS-JFK-AMS-LBA = £1,455.49p
Aer Lingus = LBA-DUB-JFK-DUB-LBA = £626.87p
Jet2.com = LBA-EWR-LBA = £621.60p
Now should they pick Jet2 and fly direct from LBA on a Boeing 757-200 or either go with British Airways or Aer Lingus who use wide bodied aircraft on there Trans Atlantic services?
