Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) stimulates the activities in April and May, 2017. There are many activities for tourists to enjoy the beauty of the tradition and the uniqueness of Thai culture throughout the country. There are also international activities of Thailand Festival Experience in various styles throughout the year. The activities and traditions are classified into four groups; 1.Food & Music Festival, 2.Cultural & Art Festival, 3.Creative Event & Festival, 4.Recreation & Sport Event, to let tourists who come to events and festivals experience every aspect of Thailand.

The interesting activities are as follows:

April

• Poy Sang Long Festival will be held from 1st – 3rd April, 2017, at Panglor Temple, Chong Kham Sub-district, Mueang District, Mae Hong Son Province

• Somdet Phra Mahajanaka Honor Event and Uthai Thani Red Cross Fair will be held from 1st – 9th April, 2017, at Central Stadium of Uthai Thani Province

• Isan Songkran Festival, Dok Kun Siang Kaen Festival and Khao Niew Road will be held from 5th – 15th April, 2017, at Bueng Kaen Nakhon and Sri Chan Road, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province

• “Don Luang Cotton Colorful Cloth Festival” will be held from 7th – 11th April, 2017, at Ban Don Luang, Mae Raeng Sub-district, Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province

• Takua Pa Seafood Festival will be held from 7th – 9th April, 2017, at Bang Sak Beach, Takua Pa District, Phang-Nga Province

• Hat Siao Elephant Ordination, Sukhothai Province will be held on 7th April, 2017, at Hat Siao Temple, Hat Siao Sub-district, Si Satchanalai District, Sukhothai Province

• Su-ngai Kolok Tasty Food Festival 2017 will be held from 7th – 11th April, 2017, at Maharat Stadium, Su-ngai Kolok District, Narathiwat Province

• Si Satchanalai Songkran Festival will be held from 8th – 12th April, 2017, at Si Satchanalai Historical Park, Sukhothai Province

• Maha Songkran Festival will be held from 10th – 15th April, in Bangkok

• Songkran Festival on the Beach and Phuket Bike Week 2017 will be held from 11th – 13th April, 2017, at Patong Beach, Saphan Hin, Phuket Province

• Hatyai Midnight Songkran will be held from 11th – 15th April, 2017, at Odean Intersection, Sanehanusorn Road, Niphat Uthit 3 Road, and Hat Yai Nai Temple, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province

• Nakhon Phanom Songkran Festival, Thai-Lao New Year Merit Making, and Khao Pun Road 2017 will be held from 11th – 15th April, 2017, at Khao Pun Road, Mueang Nakhon Phanom Municipality, and in the area of Renu Nakhon Sub-district, Nakhon Phanom Province

• Su-ngai Kolok Chao Mae To Mo Celebration 2017 will be held from 12th – 21st April, 2017, at the Chao Mae To Mo Shrine, Su-ngai Kolok District, Narathiwat Province

• The Nang Daan Procession of Nakhon Si Thammarat Songkran Festival will be held from 12th – 15th April, 2017, at Si Thammasokarat Public Park, Phra Isuan Hall, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

• Chiang Mai New Year Festival will be held from 12th – 15th April, 2017, at Chiang Mai Municipality, Chiang Mai Province

• Samui Coco Songkran will be held from 12th – 14th April, 2017, at Liap Chaweng Beach Road, Central Festival Samui Shopping Center, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province

• Sukhothai Ancient City Maha Songkran Festival will be held from 12th – 14th April, 2017, at Historical Park, Sukhothai Province

• Corn Street Songkran Festival 2017 will be held from 13th – 15th April, 2017, at Corn Street, Mueang District, Chai Nat Province

• Suphan Buri Songkran Festival 2017 will be held from 13th – 14th April, 2017, at Nen Kaeo Road (Mueang Suphanburi Municipality), Mueang District, Suphan Buri Province

• Wax Castle Parade Songkran Festival will be held from 13th – 14th April, 2017, Nong Prue Temple, Nong Prue District, Kanchanaburi Province.

• Ancient City Songkran Festival will be held from 13th – 15th April, 2017, at Historical Park, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

• "Wan Lai Bang Saen Sand Castle Festival" will be held from 16th – 17th April, 2017, at Bang Saen Beach, Chon Buri Province

• "Wan Lai Pattaya, Na Kleau and Na Kleau Rice Piling Festival" will be held from 18th – 20th April, 2017, at Pho Na Kleau Yard, Chaimongkhon Temple, Chon Buri Province

• Phra Pradaeng Songkran Festival will be held from 21st – 23rd April, 2017, in front of Phra Pradaeng District Office, Bangkok

• “Memories Hua Hin Station of Love” will be held on 29th April, 2017, at Hua Hin Train Station, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

• “Crafting Sand Art in Rayong” will be held from 31st March – 2nd April, 2017, at Nam Rin Beach, Ban Chang District, Rayong Province

• Samui Big Bike Week will be held from 5th – 6th May, 2017, at Central Festival Samui Shopping Center, Surat Thani Province

• Top of The Gulf Regatta 2017 will be held from 4th – 8th May, 2017, at Ocean Marina Yacht Club, Chom Thian Beach, Pattaya, Chon Buri Province

• Hat Yai International Balloon Festival will be held from 5th – 7th May, 2017, at Jiranakorn Stadium, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province

• Mud Festival will be held from 5th – 7th May, 2017, at multi-purpose park in front of Bang Tabun Sub-district Municipality, Phetchaburi Province

• Elephant Ordination Festival will be held from 8th – 9th May, 2017, at Elephant Study Center, Ban Ta Klang, Tha Tum Sub-district, Surin Province

• Visakha Puja Festival will be held on 10th May, 2017, at Phuttamonthon, Phuttamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province

• Atthami Puja Festival will be held from 17th – 18th May, 2017, at Wat Mai Sukhontharam, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province

• Sakon Nakhon Visakha Puja Festival 2017 will be held from 10th – 14th May, 2017, at Wat Pa Sutthawas and Wat Phrathatcherngchum Worawihan, Sakon Nakhon Province

• River Kwai Trophy 2017 will be held on 27th May, 2017, at Felix River Kwai Resort, Kanchanaburi Province

• Yasothon Fire Rocket Festival 2017 will be held from 13th – 14th May, 2017, at Phaya Thaen Public Park and Muang Yasothon Municipality, Yasothon Province

• "Samui Regatta 2017" will be held from 20th – 27th May, 2017, at Chaweng Beach, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province and Bo Phut Sub-district, Ko Samui District, Surat Thani Province

My plans got altered slightly as one of the minibus companies had to cancel 3 trips and refunded me but will be getting nice discount when I rebook them.
wondering why on my "holidays" I choose to get up 2 hours earlier than when going to work. 6 trips in 6 days soon coming up with 3 more days to sort out
