It was AOC at BHX earlier. G-LSAA came to the rescue for BHX to IBZ. LSAA then diverted to Toulouse en route a couple hours ago. Finally approaching IBZ.

YL-LCV keeping Jet2 on their toes!!

Cheers

I came back from Paris last week with Flybe and found that the the e-gates were barred to "British passports" according to staff at the gates. I was shocked. I had to go back to the usual lengthy security line. Whether the staff member actually meant all EU passports except french, I don't know. Is anyone else aware of this situation?

I've never used them as my kids are under 12 :(

Just over six weeks until my first flight with Jet2, I'm getting excited :)

We have flown twice (two returns) with Jet2 since the demise of Monarch. Admittedly we did fly from EMA as it is closer to home (Mansfield). We were on a couple of older 737s not the new shiny ones are BHX but you couldn't really tell apart from checking the plane registration details.

On the ground and in the air the staff were great. At least as good as Monarch if not a touch better. On our return from Cyprus in March the runway at EMA was closed due to snow for the outbound coming to fetch us. Unlike Ryanair who cancelled 3 flights that morning Jet2 waited for the airport to open then made up as much time as they could. As a result we were only an hour late back into EMA.

Hope you have as good an experience as we did.

Hi All
We are flying with Jet2 in September. Flying out to Gran Canaria for a week on Saturday 22nd. Really looking forward to it. My only concern is security, keep hearing about long delays. A few years ago we went on a Saturday at 3pm and airport was quite full with people. So as we are flying with 2 kids we have decided to pay for the express lane. Hopefully get through a lot quicker and then can relax.

Regards

Stephen

Just checked in for my first ever flight with Jet2, even though we don't go for another three weeks.

The good side of advanced check in is seeing those boarding passes on my phone gets me in the holiday mood :)

The down side is that there is still three weeks of work to get through yet :(

Fantastic transit through BHX today.

Jet2 check in was extremely busy but moving steadily and took just under 15 mins. Security was almost clear and took less than 5 mins to get through. All staff very pleasant.

Just sat in Wetherspoons enjoying a nice Abbott Ale:)

Have a great time Ray, you gonna be doing some serious Ibiza Raving, he he he :cool::cool:

Twenty years ago I was there, I'd stick out like a sore thumb now

Enjoy @Ray Finkle. Didn’t change your flights to Turkish Airlines then!?!?! Lol

Jet2 refused our request to route via IST :)

Really nice flight here on G-JZBF. This is in the Jet2 Holidays Livery and caused one of our kids to be very upset as they'd bet each other which one we'd be on

Cabin crew were fantastic and my lad got to meet the pilots and see the cockpit when we landed. This really made his day and he hasn't stopped talking about it since, he said he's going to tell everyone he meets they must fly Jet2.com :ROFLMAO:

I get the impression that your lad is going to be a future aviation enthusiast and future FFA member.

Tbh if you live near an airport especially where you live Ray, how can you not be interested in what goes on at BHX as you see it everyday above your head.

Great stuff, anyway get off this forum as YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE ON HOLIDAY.

You never know Ray, when you get back we might have some good news ?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
