G-OZBX at Oporto Airport, my last flight with Monarch :(

full

Apologies for the appearance of my finger.

"What wouldn't like for breakfast?"

"O will have the champagne breakfast please"

"Certainly sir."

"Sorry sir but we have no half bottles of champagne left"

"Not to worry. I'll have...."

"But we do have a whole bottle which you can have with our complements..."

Monarch. Unforgettable...made landing at Madeira before the runway extension ever so more bearable. Thank you. Never to be forgotten.

Lots of pleasant memories of Monarch.... I once had a Brazilian girlfriend who lived in Tavira, a town on the Algarve and on the flight path into Faro for Monarch if it was approaching from the east. She knew the distinctive blue and yellow colour scheme of their planes and many-a-time when i have landed i have had an SMS from her saying i saw you fly over my house 20 minutes ago.

Monarch, so distinctive in so many ways...

I preferred the yellow and black colour scheme, took my first 757 flight to Crete with Monarch. We got bucks fizz and a lovely low level tour of Bedfordshire just before our early morning landing back at Luton.

By the way folks, I am sorry for my pics just being airways shots I have taken, I have not been able to visit an airport for years so the only think I can take is airways shots.

E.

Took a couple of pictures today at kemble of a Monarch A320 but haven't been able to upload any photos on here for months. Anyway don't know what it was doing at the boneyard, it was still intact and would have thought too new to break up?

No issues at this end. I've uploaded some pictures today.

The photos of Monarch aircraft give me a feeling of melechonely particularly the one by Ray with the rainbow, it should really have been a sun set.
