Could it be that BHX has let some 747 flights go so that they can handle Maersk? I have a worry (this is a personal hunch, I don’t have inside information) that Maersk might only be operating into BHX due to a lack of slots at EMA, where they already have a large presence.

I find it interesting, that SAS and Brussels seem to be making cuts or reductions to EDI in winter, whereas at MAN and BHX, any cuts from these airlines have tended to be in the summer period. Assuming that this is indeed just a seasonal thing, I would hazard a guess that these airlines rely...
