This is the first time I've run a photo #competition using this software so I'm doing it a little bit differently this time. If it doesn't work very well I'll try a different way next time.
I'd like people to use the 5 star rating in the media gallery to rate each photo. We have 14 entries so it shouldn't take longer than a couple of minutes to rate each photo. Please be honest with your voting but remember, it's just a bit of fun so don't take it too personally if you don't achieve a 5 star rating.
Please click each of the links and rate each photo using the start selection at the right side of each page.
3 images have not been included this time as the user did not follow the requested theme. If this was you, please don't let this put you off from entering next time!
Please view each photo before rating them.

So are you saying that CWL only has consultative committee meetings when there is something important to announce?
Do you know how long ago the date for the next meeting was announced? Other airports tend to schedule meetings at least a year ahead.
It won't be a surprise if a route expansion is in the wind whether by a new airline or by an existing one or ones as there is still scope for considerable growth. A two-aircraft base by, say, Ryanair or Jet 2 would see annual passenger numbers climbing back up towards 2 mppa. With expansion at many airports around the country we're back to the situation of the first few years of this century when airports grew like that beanstalk and CWL was enjoying its best ever years.
Good to see you back posting on Forums4Airports by the way, AG14.

It seems as if Ryanair is now intending to establish itself in a big way at BFS. However, we've heard this sort of thing before about other airports where Ryanair hasn't always followed through on its stated good intentions.

Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs said:
“We are pleased to launch 3 new routes from our Belfast base to Gdansk, Warsaw and Wroclaw, as part of our winter 2016 schedule, in addition to the 7 new routes announced earlier to Alicante, Berlin, Krakow, Lanzarote, Malaga, Milan and Tenerife, and the extra flights to London Gatwick (5 x daily), which will deliver over 1 million customers p.a. and support 750 jobs at Belfast International Airport. Our new Polish routes will be ideal for both business and leisure customers and we look forward to growing routes, traffic and jobs in Belfast in the coming months and years.
To celebrate, we are releasing seats for sale from just £19.99 our new Gdansk, Warsaw and Wroclaw routes, which are available for booking until Wednesday (4 May) for travel in November and December. Since these amazing low prices will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com and avoid missing out.”
Belfast International Airport Managing Director, Graham Keddie, said:
“This is more fantastic news from Ryanair. It means that this winter should be one of our busiest ever. Gdansk, Warsaw and Wroclaw follow Krakow and deliver a very comprehensive network to a new and important Polish market.
We currently stand as the eleventh largest airport in the UK, but I expect that with continuing airline expansion and growth in passenger numbers, we will break into the 'Top Ten' before too long. The airport is delivering real economic benefit for Northern Ireland and that means new employment and business opportunities.
These new Polish routes are delivered without any government support and show only a fraction of what could be achieved if APD were removed. Despite this ‘headwind’, we’re making great progress and have reason to believe we can maintain the momentum.”

And good on #Ryanair and #TonyHallwood for securing this route. I always felt we were duped by Centralwings when they operated to WAW a few years ago with their silly flight in the early hours of the morning. The half-hearted attempt at the route back then was always destined to fail right from the start. Ryanair has come in with a sensible twice weekly option that they can build on and I'm sure they will. #routenews
