Thanks! There's more on the media section!

That's what inspired me to go, it was a place i'd thought about doing previously but never got around to it. Trying to restart my hobby after a hiatus. The trip reminded me how much i love travelling and watching planes.

Have you do a similar trip to Frankfurt ? I wanna go to that plane spotting area by the remote landing runway, some great pics on other social media and Youtube ?

I might try FRA next, maybe next Spring/Summer

I've not spotted at Frankfurt, Barcelona was great. Frankfurt is on my list as well as Zurich sometime next year as the next trips i've got planned are rugby, history and northern lights focused though no doubt i'll get plane photos and video as well.

Air India is leaving Amsterdam this winter due to lack of slot availability. The airline has only been serving the airport for 4 months.

Also JetBlue has launched a new daily service between Boston and Amsterdam.

JetBlue also launched their New York flights last week. It's the longest flight in their network.

The amount of flights being offered to Amsterdam from Liverpool presently is very down to what it should be. Told slots are the issue., not sure.

The Dutch government is trying to restrict the amount of movements due to environmental concerns, KLM and Schipol Airport are challenging them legally i believe.

And if restricting flights wasn't enough for the Dutch Government, they've now voted to impose a tax on passengers transiting through Schiphol adding 52 Euros/£45 to a return ticket:

I.always thought that was one of Schiphol's raison d'etre

You're kidding! I haven't come across that. All that will do is move #Flyers and #TransitPassengers onto other airports which doesn't impose extra charges.

#Amsterdam

Between the capacity reductions and this tax, wouldn't surprise me if capacity on some routes is shifted over to Air France as they're the same group as KLM.
But, France is also cutting back on flights although so far, I believe that it's only on domestic services that have good train links. The thin end of the wedge.

all of two routes have actually been cut in France, both from ORY. of course some of the nutty commentary you may read online will have you believe they "banned all domestic flights" but this is quite simply bs.
